Actually, I'm thinking about applications developed internally by end-users,
and perhaps even by VARs. Things like batch processes written quickly to get a
job done. The sort of things that work fine for years until someone changes
something and then you spend a month on and off trying to work out which
little thing changed.

I've got at least one of those at the moment (nothing to do with Firebird) -
ever since I did a re-install of one of my PC's my CVS backup routine has
failed to work. Bah!
