Don't know about open source, but if _relatively cheap_ is the objective,
Kylix (Delphi for Linux) desktop should do what you're after. I guess it
depends on whether you're after _cheap_ or _free beer_ or truly open source.
Also Borland have promised an open (free beer, not truly open source)
version of Kylix in the near future, but only for open source projects, not
commercial... I'm not holding my breath, but it would be cool. Of course,
if you're aware of Kylix, and want absolutely pure open source (hence making
Kylix moot...) then please accept my apologies in advance.
Regards,
Jeff

Subject: [IBDI] Frontend for IB/Firebird on Linux
What are my choices for an open source graphical front end for IB?
I know about Karwin's IBPerl, which works with another package to
offer an html front end. Are there other options I should know about
before building a front end? I want to minimize effort if possible.
I work in a Linux Slackware 7 environment and have used IB 4 off and
on over the years on both Win 3.1 and Linux platforms. Now I have
Firebird Classic. I have Delphi ver. 1 but it only runs on Windoze.
Any hints appreciated.
