Well, it's going to get addressed in "The Book". I'm really keen to understand the architecture of a blob filter - how the input is handled, where the output goes and whether, in between, it's just a question of mapping and parsing.

What I'd like to do is use an OO language and make some parser classes so that its a piece of W-W to pick it up and write a new class with a couple of lines of code. I'm quite willing to stuff it up 99 times if I have a blob-filter builder at the other end of it.
