Again no, but as a VAR I wasn't told about 5.6.1 or sent anything specific
about 6.0, maybe I fell off the loved list as I kicked off when Paul et al
left Borland.

This is going to severly affect people who use multiple connections per
application, multi-threading springs to mind immediately, it has just leapt
from sensible pricing to outrageous pricing.

For us that are too dim, incapable or lacking in time to compile or even get
CVS up and running, I would be willing to pay IBPhoenix a small sum of money
for the same service that Robert (MERS) provides (daily builds), although I
would prefer, if paying, to have a history of builds (and only rebuilt when
changes are made) with narrative release comments. I would have thought
that at say $5 - $10 a download IBPhoenix could make some cash out of that
(I'd buy $200 worth of credits up front). I have the .9.4 (I think) build,
but looking at the checkin logs, it seems a long way from the current
working set.

I have been unhappy with the little (nothing) I have been able to contribute
to the whole FB 1.0 due to the steep learning curve I needed to climb to get
up to speed.

Anyway, good luck to all who are working hard on 1.0, I am very excited & am
looking forward to using it in earnest. There is a beer waiting for any
active contributor in Manchester (UK).
