Sorry, maybe it didn't come across very clearly. I agree with all your points.
I'm just not sure about calling the list 'firebird@yahoogroups.com'. This hasn't
been discussed with members of the Firebird project. As one of the members I
personally am a bit peeved.

Is it really helpful to have a list that purports to discuss issues relevant to
the Firebird project to be started without consultation?
