I agree. But as things stand now, there are another 1 or 2 months to
go until a production build is ready. If it would indeed be a pitty
to withhold the release for something like a website question, you
should also see the other side: This release will spread out in the
world and it's at that moment, where certain people will come and
look at Firebird more closely. Lets be ready to give a good first
impression!

Ok, Leister, I told my opinion why a site like Pavels isn't
apropriate for the Firebird website. I can repeat the link if you
want:

Now, this is an opinion based on facts and, I believe, valid
arguments. It is in the best interest of Firebird. All this means is,
that the website has some importance and must not be neglected.
There's still some time until you will have a production release
ready and so there is time to find an agreement about the website
issue. But it needs to be done now. You underestimate the importance
of presentation. It's presentation, and presentation only, that will
make people adopt Firebird in the first time (aslong as it doesn't
have reputation for quality).

So those who work on code do the real work, whereas those who think
about the organization and presentation of the whole thing don't do
real work??? :(

So let's make some progress with the website now...
