Unfortunately, you're right!

The change was only made to a project members private build area, not to
the main source tree.

The change was not applied to the main tree due to serious issues which
were noted and were not resolved in time for the v1.0 feature cut-off.

Unfortunately, the release notes and the feature reports missed this
'holdback'.

It is planned for this feature to be included in a subsequent release
(v1.5/2.0).
