Hi Ibrahim

There is now a bucket load of information on how to build on linux, Have a look at

sourceforge.net/project/firebird and ib-build@....

The codes.`/netapp/apps/isc/bin/codes', wasn't supplied with the original download,
but there were extra .h and other files that were subsequently released that
subsequenty complensate for it.

rasu you don't need to worry about, its a "run as set user script" that does some
minor change owner and permissions of files.

I would suggest looking at the other information, as there are additional build
problems, they from your post you haven't got to yet. However help is available
at the above sites, and there are plenty of successful linux builds. And there is
work afoot to make it even easier,

So have a look at the doco, give it a quick go and as soon as you run into trouble
(and you probably will at the moment) send an email to me or id-build, and it'll be
asnwered pretty quick as there are quite a few people working on this issue.

Cheers

Mark
