Have you looked at how Redhat is doing business? They are marketing
their version of Linux and selling CD's etc and seem to be making a
go
of the business with that open source product. Maybe your Newco
could
operate along similiar lines. Just a thought...

Personally I would rather buy a CD than download and compile the
source code.
