Sure, but Sybase is still Sybase and RBase (claims to be the first
commercial db from 1980) is still here and I don't see that they are hurt by
their name. There are examples with SQL (MsSql, MySql, PostgreSql) and with
DATA (NCR's Teradata) and some of the others I know don't follow a pattern:
Oracle, Ingres, Informix, Jasmine, DB2, etc.

WolfSQL
(wolfpack is MS's trademark AFAIK, beware; or at least it was the code name
for their clustering technology, not sure).
