Considering that you don't need the eval key to activate 6.0, and that the 5.x ODBC driver was meant to be freely deployable under our contract with Merant, and that Inprise have paid the next 12 months license fee for deployment, I guess the simple answer is this....
 
If you need an ODBC driver that works (but is not brilliant), and are happy to use it via dialect 1 for the 6.0 server.... its there and available to anybody who wishes to use it.

What the post says is that you can use the ODBC driver that ships with 5.6, under the 'eval' key.

One Q though, Is it true that the ODBC driver for 5.6 used against 6 will cause us licencing issues?
