My two cents:

My company is certainly willing to "kick in" some cash to a group fund if
it will help expedite the release of an ODBC driver for IB 6.
Perhaps others might be willing to do the same? Allow me to hazard a
guess: If a couple dozen or so companies (or individuals) sent $1000 each
to ISC, we might see some rapid results.

I certainly don't mean to be a cynic about this, but I know that, while I
do work "gratis" on occasion, most of my work needs to be paid for.
