Ann,
Server (any version) then I'll be totally happy. A backup and restore to
ODS10 under dialect 1 sounds like a nice way to get a fresh start on things
without any baggage of ODS 9 stuff hanging around in the code. I'd feel more
confident about the shape of the code if it were geared towards a fresh
slate at ODS 10.
It's been my observation that with the IB6 client library installed that I
can't connect as a remote client to an IB5.x server without some weird
problems. I've shared them in the forums already but if you want to know
more I'll redo the battery of tests that produce them.
