This was discussed since much months ago. AFAIK, David Robinson was the one
who discovered the issue while in beta testing. It seems to happen only in
W2K and Brett Bandy reported that issue as an apparently bug in the version
checker in W2K, because he couldn't find anything wrong in the install
script for Interbase.
Mers.com has an email list that mirrors the Mers newsgroup dedicated to IB.
However, if you want to report this issue, please use the newsgroup
interbase.public.kinobi.installationapi
in the news server newsgroups.inprise.com because ISC people will be
interested in this bug showing its nails again.
