SCO's optimizing compiler, and found it quite a battle. A contractor
did the 5.5 port more recently, and after fighting with bugs in SCO's
compiler for a while, finally switched to GCC, after which everything
went much more smoothly.
When I did the IB4 port, IB management wasn't ready to hear me say
that we should use gcc. By the time the 5.5 port came around, they
were ready to listen to reason.
