Distinctly amusing, of the rolling on the ground pounding my fists
sort of way.

Unfortunately, except for the barnyard references, it's a pretty much
accurate snapshot of the state of the industry. I can't even count the
number of times I've been asked, well, what is the developer wants to
use an impoverished, inconsistent data store?

"Uses hadoop" is almost a product requirement now.
