After InterBase was released as open source, someone
(Frank Schlottmann-Goedde?) found a hard-coded superuser
account. Basically, anybody who read the code could
take over any InterBase or Firebird database. Jim
built patches that could be applied to any InterBase
on any platform.

Last night as we were discussing the events of the day,
we both realized that if we do have a machine readable
InterBase 1.0 source from an old backup, it belongs to
Embarcadero. Firebird history starts in July 2000.
