Besides... I really think you would need to build a case to
support such a request. Some time ago I did some primitive
experiments with this idea (since it can be simulated by just
inserting records in a particular order).
My logic at the time was that my DBak program could have been
written to restore records in some particular order - and so
encourage clustering of index (and data for that matter) pages
in the database.
I could not discern any real performance benefit from doing
this so the feature remained out of the program.
It appears (to me) that the existing mechanisms (page bitmaps
etc) in FB render such concepts as index clustering obsolete.
OTOH my experiments were primitive, perhaps a more finely
tuned set of tests could measure some advantage.
