The DSQL API is crap because I took it lock, stock, and barrel, from an
IBM DB2 manual. My intentions were pure -- I just wanted to implement
it, not argue about it. That strategy worked for awhile, but is now
obviously failing.

I hereby promise not to ever again lift an Application Program Interface
from a mid-1980s IBM manual, so help me Knuth.
