Hi,
I'm new here and just follow the discussion since some time, but I must
agree with Roman, that a unified treatment of stored procedure would be
more than necessary. Implementing a new syntax "call" would be great
then we would be inline with the SQL standard specification.
While teaching students databases and stored procedure with Firebird, I
always have trouble to explain why firebird uses two versions (select,
execute). In my eyes this is very artificial and not well enough
designed. In JDBC it's a mess to make this difference when developing
code and make it fool proven.
