Hi Jim,
Thank you very much for that explanation. Most illuminating.
I wont claim to have understood the full implications of it
all yet but I do begin to see how it hangs together. The
diversion into row level access control does make it clearer.

There is much more momentum in the industry than there used
to be, it takes much longer for it to change direction.
