Thinking about it some more, I think we'd be better off restricting the
primary header to a single page and giving an error if someone attempts
to add a clumplet that won't fit.
I talked over the problem with Jim, describing the difference file
technique for stabilizing the database so it can be backed up with
system utilities. His reactions were "Hmm... not a bad idea" - which is
high praise - and "You know, that scheme could be used to distribute a
read-only database with a read-write wrapper."
So obviously, I'm completely out of touch.
