Subject: [Firebird-Architect] Is Firebird XA compliant?
Hi,
I read on the Firebird website that Firebird supports two-phase
commit. I assumed this meant that Firebird is XA compliant but I
didn't find any references to the XA distributed transaction
specification anywhere. Also in the source code, I couln't find an
implementation of an XA switch.
Has anyone ever tried to make Firebird XA compliant by implementing
an XA switch so that it can be plugged in to a TP monitor like
Tuxedo?
If yes, what was the result? If not, would it be possible to
implement an XA switch on top of the existing proprietary 2PC?
Thanks,
Robin Boerdijk
