Integrating a PL/SQL byte-code engine into FB is progressing nicely.
One of the next steps will be to move the Oracle-style SQL parser to
the engine, say as dialect 4. I intend to build it such, that it can
either generate blr or a ready-to-execute JRD_REQ structure. Hence
I'm interested in this discussion.

I don't subscribe to the dev list, because I find it too high volume
for my needs. Please keep it at the architecture list, perhaps with
an announcement on the dev list.
