Download the beta documentation for IB6 or purchase the media kit of IB6.5
that includes the supposedly amended documentation.
A primary key is unique and doesn't accept null values. Furthermore, the
engine creates behind scenes a unique index to support it.
What you observed is a result of some corruption that happened in your db
before you defined the PK, hence when you created it, it didn't work as
expected. The db was already spoiled in some way.
