And I'm about to disappoint you. These features are not
immanent - I'm trying to get a dialog between IB & Firebird
to reserve a blr value so we can do parallel implementations
at some point. Having an open-ended mechanism seems like
a good idea - though Jim just blew out one side, making it
very drafty.
