OSRI -- Open System Relation Interface, the formal name
of the Interbase interface architecture. A modest extension
and generalization of DSRI (DEC Standard Relation Interface)
on which the Rdb products are based. Until Borland got their
greasy paws on Interbase there was general bidirectional
interoperability between DEC and Interbase products.
