There is a serious question here. Should the shared procedure/trigger
language be an independent, distinct language, or should it adopt another
language as a model, eventually to converge with. If a distinct language
is required, so be it. But there already most languages than the
world strictly needs (to which I have contributed more than my fair
share).

If the shared procedure language is to be a derivative, a derivative
of what? Should further work be done refining the language, or should
plans be made to subplant it with an established embeddable language
such as Java?

It would be nice to have an understanding of the long view before
a tweaking campaign.
