A clue to understanding my proposal is:

I wasn't talking about batching SQL statements one by one to be prepared one
by one and executed on the server, but the record data itself, so that it
could be jammed into an already prepared statement.

That is why I suggested this issue should receive its own thread because I
interjected a somewhat new issue here.
