Here, here, Robert. You have a valid point.

Then again, Jason is right too. It is a risky business allowing a spat to go
on in this sort of an environment and it is difficult as a moderator/owner
to balance free speech with protecting the interests of the list and keep it
on topic. (not to mention it IS off topic for THIS LIST.)

Jason didn't say don't discuss it, just don't discuss it here. That's
reasonable. If it has to be discussed take it to another list or a
newsgroup. Jason, keep up the good work.

Now this conversation is getting long enough to be off topic.

Here's a question:
When is there going to be a version of IB for the Mac-based Linux distros so
we can start pusing this out to the "uttermost parts of the earth". We had a
good thread going for a while in one the the Borland public IB newgroups on
just this topic. Someone wanted to move to an RDBMS from FileMaker Pro in an
all-Mac environtment, and a YellowDog/IB combination would have been
perfect!

Here's a dumb question. What is the process for taking the IB source code
and compiling a version for the PPC-based Linux distros?

Have a good one!

J

Hi:

Why is it way off when many others involved took Inprise to task here
with all sorts of allegations?

Seems what is good for the goose should be good for the gander, huh?

Best regards
