Why build a separate version for OS/X when you can run TurboLinux in a
window on OS/X or MacOS and run IB on that? Or better yet, put YellowDog
linux on your G4... ;-)

That was meant to be (somewhat but not entirely) tongue-in-cheek...

I do see an eventual reason to port IB to OS/X, but for now there are
options. That really is my only point.

Geoffrey Speicher has been working on a FreeBSD port, (which builds
and runs but still has some problems) and ib already has run on several
PowerPC platforms (AIX and, once upon a time, NT) so it shouldn't be
that hard.
