AFAIK the only *needed* things from this is ksh and sed. I'm using a Win32
compiled GNU sed without any problems. As for ksh, would a Win32 bash cut
it? The one from cygwin?

What specific "extensions" of the Borland make are used in IB? Could these
possibly without too much effort be made more portable?

Could the compiler from www.freepascal.org possibly be used? I haven't tried
it myself, but it seems to contain what's needed.
