okay, i'll forgo asking why it's not likely to make it in and ask if anyone
can supply reasonably subjective ideas on impacts this would have to the
engine if it was planned to go ahead. From the programmers perspective,
trigger templates are a good thing(tm) as it brings another part of the
engine closer into the code reuse arena. 1 place for the code, 1 place for
the changes, 1 place for working out why the hell the trigger doesn't work.
1 change to cascade down to as many tables as necessary. So as i mentioned
before, does anyone have any comments on the impacts this will have on the
system (and i am asking for subjective not possible, so i guess this one is
aimed at the interbase team itself) so that we can all have a good look at
both the plusses and the minusses such an implementation would bring to the
system.
