But, Informix can't continue work if logical log buffers are full.
You MUST periodically backup these buffers.
As for Interbase, incremental backup will stop garbage collection
until new record versions are stored in "small backup".

So, if there will be incremental backup in interbase, I prefer 2 options:
1. without incremental backup (as usual)
2. with incremental backup, where DBA will keep in memory to make small
backups every day or week (depends on performance and record versions amount).
