I can agree with that. But, I will also be hard pressed
to be convinced that a db server should replace OS level
security.

I'd like to hear this stuff too. I am not the person with
the wisdom on this subject. I am open to ideas as long as
they are elegant and efficient. I think replication can
solve _most_ of these problems, perhaps enhancing gbak
could too. Adding clunky, bloated security layers to InterBase
not attractive to me.
